Please find below a selection of just some of our recent comments regarding the projects that we have worked on.

Class Teacher, Year 6
"I just wanted to let you know our VE Day Party was a huge success. We had lots of parents/carers turn up for the event.  The children made some WW2 carrot cookies and potato and cheese biscuits for the parents to enjoy.  They did a great job of performing their WW2 dances, thank you so much to Wings to Fly for funding the lessons, they really helped bring the topic alive."

A Class Teacher - A Taste of Sport

"It was such a wonderful opportunity for all children to take part in a wide variety of sports, some of which they may not have heard of or experienced previously. The sport leaders were supportive, knowledgeable and enabled each activity to be accessible to children of all ages, abilities and needs they also planned a good 'taste' of their sport in the time they had with each group. Many of the children in my group were keen to sign up! The volunteers who ran around filling up water bottles were very much appreciated and they really did a fantastic job. I thought the collaboration between the Wings To Fly organisers and the school made for a well-run event. It all went very smoothly.  Thank you Wings To Fly, my class loved it."

"Thank you so much for looking after us so well at the festival. It was pretty hot but the children were amazing and took part so enthusiastically, I’m really glad they enjoyed it and I know they got a lot out of it.

Well done for all your and your team’s hard work!"

A Parent - A taste of Sport

"The Wings to Fly Sports Taster Day was absolutely brilliant. It was great to see my children outside in the sunshine, having a great time with their friends. I couldn’t believe how many sports there were available for them to try out. My children came home buzzing about the new sports that they had tried and the opportunities they had to challenge themselves. It definitely broadened their horizons and has made them think about the sports they’d like to take up."

I thought it was a very , very well organised and friendly event and just brilliant to see children being outside and being introduced to new sports experiences. It is no mean feat to organise an event of that size and I thought you all did it extremely well and I hope you do it again. Well Done - top marks !!
